Our STRENGTH classes combine intelligent programming, functional strength training, and music-supported intensity to improve strength, endurance, and movement quality while refining client technique.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking experienced, dynamic STRENGTH instructors to join:
- Cape House, and/or
- East Boston (with flexibility to support Downtown Boston as needed)
This is a location-specific role. Candidates must be prepared to commit to permanent classes at their designated home studio.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 1 year of recent, proven success teaching strength-based group fitness classes
- Personal Training Certification from an accredited organization strongly encouraged
- Strong understanding of biomechanics, movement standards, and safe load progression
- Experience coaching circuit-style and HIIT-based formats
Programming & Musicality
B/SPOKE STRENGTH is athletic, structured, and music-supported.
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Ability to program balanced, intelligent, all-level strength classes
- Strong pacing and intentional sequencing within a structured, mat-based strength format
- Confidence coaching both technical precision and intensity
- Ability to build playlists that support energy, effort, and momentum
- Commanding, clear presence in high-energy environments
- An inclusive, welcoming coaching style that makes all clients — across experience levels and identities — feel seen, supported, and empowered
Brand Familiarity Requirement
- Must have taken a minimum of 5 B/SPOKE STRENGTH classes within the past 6 months
- Strong familiarity with B/SPOKE STRENGTH structure, coaching standards, pacing, and culture
Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Training includes:
- 18-20 hours of STRENGTH-specific training (in-person and virtual components)
- Required attendance at scheduled group sessions (1-2 hours each, on weekdays and weekends)
- 1–2 hour small-group cohort sessions with a B/SPOKE STRENGTH Coach (as needed)
Training sessions will be held between Apr 1, 2026 and through the weekend of May 9th, with the demo/final audition period to follow.
Total training time varies based on experience and training track.
From invitation into training onward, candidates must:
- Take at least two B/SPOKE STRENGTH classes per week (in-person or On Demand)
- Attend classes across multiple instructors
- Have a reliable music-playing device (not a cell phone)
Candidates are expected to attend all required sessions. Conflicts must be communicated in advance.
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Core Commitment
- Ability and willingness to teach a minimum of 2 permanent classes per week at location of hire, including at least one weekend class (Saturday or Sunday)
- Willingness to accept sub opportunities following completion of training
- Possess or be willing to obtain current CPR/AED Certification
Holiday Requirement
- Must be available to teach two designated holidays per calendar year
- One summer holiday
- One winter holiday
- Holiday assignments are determined by studio leadership based on studio needs
Location-Specific Availability
Cape House
- Reliable transportation required
- Commitment to permanent classes at Cape House
- Flexible availability preferred, with priority for:
- Late mornings (9:00–11:00 AM)
- Afternoons (11:00 AM–1:30 PM)
- Early evenings (4:00–5:30 PM)
- Late evenings (7:00 PM–Close)
East Boston
- Reliable transportation required
- Flexibility to support Downtown Boston as needed
- Commitment to permanent classes in East Boston
- Flexible availability preferred, with priority for:
- Late mornings (8:00–10:00 AM)
- Afternoons (11:30 AM–1:30 PM)
- Early evenings (4:00–5:30 PM)
- Weekends
INTERVIEW & AUDITION PROCESS
- Submit online application
- In-person audition at B/SPOKE Studios (Cape House or East Boston/Downtown)
- Auditions will take place between March 14 & March 22
- Optional reference check
- Interview with Program Leadership (as indicated)
- Complete B/SPOKE STRENGTH Instructor Training
- Final Demo at B/SPOKE Studios (up to two demo opportunities)
- Offer and/or feedback
